Today, the guest lecture was a presentation brought to us from the virtual world developers and designers Outso. There website gives a lot more information on anything you want to know.
The start of the presentation was filled with information about the team and the job titles present at Outso: game artists, animators, character artists, level design and concept artists. They then moved on to talk about the quality of the work the team produces for the Playstation 3 on games such as ‘Home’ where Outso are responsible for thirty percent of the content designed within ‘Home’, clothes, mini games... etc, which I found was an interesting fact as i have played the game.
They concluded the presentation with a few videos of upcoming projects that they had been working together with Sony on, this featured, mystical Elvin crazy golf, which i found rather comical due to Sony’s video to hype up this project.
I found this lecture helpful and interesting in the content of the styles of job opportunities available in Outso that were explained to us and also the Intel given of the company.
